New post-1991 distance record. Long and hot ride, with headwinds when going south and not much by way of food-break choices on the 44/55/32 (Highland to Newburgh) stretch, but still good. Not a terrible slice 40-something miles in at Fat Mike's somewhere between Modena and Plattekill.

Charted some new territory between Amenia Union and Sharon, thence to Millerton. Excellent lunch at Irving Coffee Co. Temps in low 80s but didn't overheat, tho came a bit close almost all the way home when I ran out of water.

Longest ride since I started keeping track in May 2008. Probably longest ride since the NYC Century in ~1992.

Absolutely perfect biking day. Temps in low 60s, glorious blue skies and everything in peak of spring greenness. Late afternoon ride, wanted to squeeze 40 mi in. Went a new piece off of Clove Rd to Shaughnessy and Duncan Rd.

Mostly overcast but very nice riding day, tailwind on first 21 mi going north. First 60+ miler of the year and since sometime last year. Lunch at Panini Cafe in Kent, very good.

Early morning ride, bit cool on the downhills (60F) but beautiful spring morning, birds singing, etc. Gnat flew into mouth on West Dover Rd. that caused temporary mild issues.

Somehow MMR missed the last 2.3 miles so didn't credit me for the climb up Harmony Hill, nor for those miles, but I manually added them. Perfect riding weather, beautiful spring day. Probably my fastest average speed ever, 15.4, but that doesn't include the final climb.
